New to the forum. Need some help. I'm wondering if it is worth buying extened warranty for ls430 and if so what company.

if you do, make sure you get the genuine lexus coverage

 

I extended my 02 LS430 through Lexus to 7 years and 100000 miles with their full Platinum coverage for $2400. I think the car is so well built that it really doesn't not need the extended coverage, but it makes my wife happy and it makes the car easier to resell.

 

Thanks for the opinion guys. also talked to the service people at the lexus dealer and they suggested not to get any b/c they are very well built cars.

 

Mine is on a lease and I will turn it in at the end but if I were to buy a technology-rich vehicle like the LS430, I would definitely look into an extended warranty. I have had two parking sensors and the entire Nav display replaced under warranty. Parts and labor for these three incidents would have come darn close to the $2,400 warranty price. And that was in the first 24K miles. And remember, you can shop around for the same warranty at different dealers. Buy it from the one that gives you the best price. There is a huge markup on those items. Good luck!!
