Default Automatic Rear door lock

Does anyone know how to disable the feature that the rear door stays locked even after the car is in park and the engine is off? Is it a child safety feature? It's kind of annoying. Any help will be appreciated.

you need to be a little more specific......is the door locked from both inside and out? If it is only locked from the inside, then it is the child safety lock. If it is both in and out, then I say your C-best setting is set to don't unlock the doors when you put the tranny in park.

OK, learned something new here - the 'smog sensor'! So mine is set to "M" - what is the effect of dialing it up higher or lower?

I'm guessing the higher the setting, the more sensative, therefor it'll be stuck in re-circulate mode..

I did not see this one....If you get blinded by the sunlight coming from above the rear view mirror, you can pull down the (headliner color) soft sun blocker piece located right above the mirror to cover up the space above the rear view mirror. Mostly used when driving early morning going up a hill towards the sun. Very hidden chameleon gadget.

Default L&R mirror trick

I just bought an 05 ul and tried the side mirrors on and shifter in reverse and my mirrors do not tilt down. Normal for a 05 ul ? Thanks.

Make sure that the adjuster is not in the middle, it needs to be on the "L" or the "R" in order for the mirrors to tilt down in reverse, if it still dose not wk them something is wrong.

Default how to close windows and moonroof with key

I didn't see this tip on here. How to close the windows and moonroof without getting in the car using the ingition on.
It's very primitive, insert the key into the drivers door keyhole, turn counter clockwise to manually lock the door and hold for a couple of seconds. The windows and moonroof will close. Hold until fully closed or to desired place.
You'll find this is a very convenient feature for many times, especially after you've been showing off with your keyfob window open trick, and you have to explain that they don't go up the same way.
ENJOY!

I didn't get how to assign a smartkey to a seat position. When you assign a seat position to a number, does it assign that as the auto-setting for the key that is used to turn the ignition to the 'on' position?

Also, I don't have nav and I held down the recirc button for a few seconds and my display reads '0'. How do I change that up or down for the smog filter? Did I just reset the cabin air filter replacement light?
