I know & you did mentioned that in your last post. What I meant is your LS430 UL, if equipped with 18" wheels should still ride a little more comfortable that the Euro-tuned LS with BOTH 18" wheels & Sports suspension(stiffer). If you find the ride of the Euro-tuned LS430 acceptable, then you should not worry about putting 18" wheels on your ultra LS430.

Default OZ 18 wheels with 35mm offset on 04 LS

I am thinking of changing my stock 17's and replacing them with 18x8 Front and 18x9 Rear OZ Opera Wheels which are 35mm offset.
The stock sport suspension spec is 18x 7.5 all around on 45mm specs. I don't know how heavy the stock 18's nor the OZs are.Maybe somebody on this board knows them?
Would appreciate comments on whether this option is OK.

Regards,eblue

I never said it does. If you've read my post on the last page, I suggested him to go test dive a Euro-tuned LS, & if he finds the ride acceptable, then he can expect his LS430 Ultra to ride more comfortable than that with the 18" wheels that he's contemplating.

not sure the tyre profile on the LS430 fro 17 to 18s..when i had my stock gs with 235/45/17, and went to 245/40/18+275/35/18, my behind was still quite comf..again, this is personal preference..btw, i am not a "chuncky dude"

but, once i went to 19s, BIG night and day diff from 18s

04 LS430 comes with 225/55/17 or 245/45/18

I just went from 17 to 19 245/40/19 and 275/35/19. The ride itself is not bad at all. If the stock is 100, I would give the new ride around 90, at worst 85. The tire noise is another story though. It is much worse . The tires I have are supposed to be very good, yokohama dna ecos...oh well... The car looks so different in 19 though.
