Coke exploded in the cool box!!!!!!!!
I bought a used LS430 in California and drove it here to Arizona. Great car, but i just checked the cool box feature to find about an half inch thick pool of dried cola on the floor of the box and cola splatter everywhere else in the thing, all sticky as hell. Friggin Benz dealer described the car as "clean". My @#$%!
Anybody know how to remove the box so I can clean it? There is so much cola in there that I'm going to have to soak it or hose it off somehow, no way I'll be able to clean it in the car. It be much easier to clean if I could just get it out. I looked at it but could not figure it out.

I've never done this, although I had a sticky spill in the cool box as well. I cleaned it with sponges and warm soap water. I'd try this before disassambly.
The repair manual for the LS430 shows the center plate above the cool box has two clips behind the plate center left and center right, The plate should pop out using a screw driver with a taped tip (to prevent scratching). The cool box door assembly also has 4 clips, 2 on each side that pop out. Then you will have access to the cool box.

I would call the dealer who sold you the car and tell them what you found. I suspect they might clean it out for you. The customer is sometimes right.

I would try pouring roughly about one inch of very hot water (don't flood it & not boiling water) with pine sol into the cool box to soften it up a bit if you could. Then take a wash cloth and try to wipe it up. Keep repeating the steps until the job is done.
