Default Hybrid version for 2007?

California expects Lexus to come out with a .hybrid version of the LS. I'd guess it will be a 2007 model, possibly available as early as spring of 2006.

No offense but that is old news. The RX330 has been tagged as a hybryd by next year as far as I have "heard/read". Take that with a grain of salt though.

What I see as new is the LS. I wouldn't mind seeing a LS SeriesHybryd. DC motors have all torque from the begining without any time to have to build it up.

I bet you the hybrid RX will be one heck of a vehicle. Great full economy with good performance... winning combo. This was a probably a conservative route to take for Lexus since they didn't want to expsose their higher series to the microscope first. Traditionally SUV's aren't expected to be the best at 0 - 60 or the quitest , smoothest ride. However, I would have thought they would have done the ES300/Camry first.
