My passenger front door handle cover appears to have come off: .the part that covers the keyhole (blank, since no key on that side) No idea how. Trying to find a matching part, which seems to be PREMIUM SILVER, which apparently is an alternate name for mercury metallic, which I've always thought my car was. They are both paint code 1f2? (2005 LS430)

for the front passenger side: I have no idea how to install. Just the painted silver insert, or the entire piece (chrome backing)? If anyone knows how to approach this, I'd appreciate advice. At a labor rate of $275 an hour I'm trying to skip dealer. I could even go to a car stereo installer, or try myself, but I have no idea if I need to unscrew it from inside or what.

Once you figure it out, please let us know. I have the same problem, I've got the part but have never tried to figure it out. FWIW, its on the passenger side and doesn't really bother me. That said, I'd like to install it. The part will look better on the car rather than on the shelf in my garage.
