Hello all proud owner of 2005 LS and love it but daily driver is a Avalon 2005 time to replace been looking at 2021 and 2022 Avalon limited and I was told the Lexus 350 same year has same body frame and motor as Avalon same car pretty much I need to weigh in my pros and cons between the two Lexus nicer ride more options probably more expensive repairs please give some feedback my Lexus people which should I choose daily driver only
LS is my weekend, vacation car love it but premium gas very high in Chicago

It’s my understanding that the ES is pretty much an Avalon underneath, but the Avalon is already pretty much top tier as far as Toyotas go so they should be similar. Not sure what the ES would offer that the Avalon wouldn’t have. I’d say find the best one of either that’s in your price range and has the most records with it.

 

i dont think you really need to use Premium in the LS430. I've been running mine on 87 octane since 2020, and no noticeable effects

 

I run mine on 95RON (91AKI or US-Octane) with no side effects and no loss of performance vs premium (97-99RON, 93/94AKI).
I can't comment on lower octane as the 95RON is the lowest available here.
Our 95 RON is also 10% ethanol (E10) where the 97-99RON is E5 (5% ethanol) for now, although that will soon be moving to E10 as well.
