Has anyone performed a complete drive train swap from a LS 460 into a LS 430 body?

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no, just because the original 3UZFE engine is so damn good, that there is not really much reason to substitute it for the 1URFSE, plus trying to get the 8 speed auto to work in place of the 5 or 6 speed would probably be a complete nightmare.

Usually, in the rare instance that these get engine swaps, it's usually with some sort of bat**** crazy overpowered engine, like a 2JZ or a Chevy V8 to just make the car insane, in the times I have seen it.

 

sounds like a great idea. should be a simple swap.

 

Do you value money and time?

 

I think it's safe to say that's never been done, mostly because the 3UZ is said to be more reliable than the 1UR, plus there's really no reason at all to do that kind of swap. These cars aren't really about horsepower so the extra 90ish HP from the 460 doesn't really matter to the LS430. If a person is actually wanting more power in their LS430, they just track down a Toms or TRD supercharger (and supporting mods).
