Nothing definitive, but other than maintenance parts, I would say 20 years at the outside would be my guess.

A date is set when all production for OEM replacement parts ceases and what you see available is left over inventory - sell off remaining inventory until it's gone. We're well into the sell off with 1st/2nd Gens. Third Gens aren't far behind, in my estimation.

Most manufacturers only make parts until they stop production of that model. After that they rely on existing stock for most parts.
Toyota seem to carry stock a bit longer than most, but at 18-23 years old the LS430 is now most likely starting to have less and less available OE parts.
Some items are available via aftermarket, but normally only items that have a decent turnover.
If you look in on the LS400 forums you will see that they are now struggling to get some parts like rear windscreens.
It's one of the joys of owning older vehicles.
If there were 500,000 LS430s still running worldwide then the aftermarket would be huge, but there aren't and it isn't.

i heard that availability (for Toyota parts) depends on demand. If no-one is buying they don't keep making/stocking the parts. Some parts for LS430s are no longer available, but most are.

Depends greatly.

I can still get just about everything for my dads 1978 Landcruiser FJ40 straight from Toyota, but my 89 4Runner (which there are still LOTS of on the road) you are S.O.L. when it comes to trim pieces, body panels, or that cursed rear tailgate window regulator.
