Do your cashmere mats look similar in color to my pics?
Yes, similar, if not exact. Good find. Tough to tell from a photo onto a computer screen, but your zoom shot of the lower right corner looks right. I think the PT548's are the original and the PT206's are the 2nd gen replacements. That's lame they won't share the logo trademark with Lloyd's. Those mats seem really nice, like was mentioned above. Many other companies have allowed it obviously.
I swapped out my worn mats a few months ago and ended up ordering from https://vwcarmats.co.uk/ because their sets fit properly and didn’t slide around like my old ones. Hitting the £30 mark was easy, so the free delivery was a nice bonus. If you’re trying to tidy up the interior without spending a fortune, their heavier-duty mats held up well through winter mud and dog hair.
^ Front fits great, looks even better. The rears are slightly too long in the fore and aft direction, but still workable.
I bought some Lloyd Mats for my LS400 and was not happy with the result - looked awful after a few months. That is why when I decided to replace the cashmere ones in my LS430 I went with the rich black LS460 mats. Now my feet feel comfy when I drive in my socks . . .
I recall when I got my 2006 in 2016, gray OE mats were < $20. And my interior was cashmere--nobody would ever notice gray is not cashmere. Of course as I type, the driver mat is worn from 10 years of use, and I have no idea where the other qty 2 brand new mats are. But folks were doing what I did back then and grabbing a couple extra. It would be amazing to think that in 2026 they still exist at < $20 for OE. Again as I recall it was gray only, the color that was exact cost a lot back then. It's also amazing to think how expensive things are in 2026 vs 2016. Premium was $1.819 and we could get all the obscure parts like body colored door caps for 40% off list no sales tax and free shipping. I'd cringe if someone were to buy a part like that in 2026. From memory I bet a cupholder went from low $100s to maybe $180 or $200 today and we're talking discount, not list. My driver power window switch broke and I tried 3 aftermarket parts and none worked, the OE is I believe over $600. I had to take the switches off an aftermarket and transfer to the original electronics. The high cost of parts is often hush hush on Japanese cars. A corolla power window switch which looks and feels like ours, is well over $700 OE, when a BMW 7 is in the high $200s. nuts
edit p.s. I have no idea how in late 2025 the OE radiator was 40% off, free shipping, no sales tax. It's as if they were celebrating pre 2016. And when I went back to try to get more parts, nope, discount gone. At least I'm glad I was able to afford OE lol I did have to wait more than 2 weeks, when I called the dealer they said it was a special order and it should be coming any day--I was skeptical but it came. Goes to show also what the margins are.
