The overflow reservoir is not under enough pressure to leak out of the top seam. Unless the overflow hose is completely blocked...
These are tough to track down because the serp. belt flings coolant in all directions but there is a distinct splatter pattern moving away from the radiator cap.
Wipe everything down and check the next day. Maybe wipe it down a couple times you'll learn a lot by watching where the droplets land each day.
In the meantime a new rad cap is easy and cheap available from any Toyota dealer.
I do see a few drops from the bottom of the overflow tube. It is possible that the tube could be blocked/obstructed . Which would make sense because it appears to be coming from the seams. I will check that tomorrow. I was not sure if the reservoir container should be sealed tight. I'll give a new rad cap a try. Thank you for the insight!
Replace the rad cap with OEM it will eliminate a possible failure point. Cap is a simple device but at the same time critical to proper cooling system operation.
I ended up getting a piece of 5/8 rubber tubing from a local auto parts store.
I do recommend getting a few of these hose clamps as they have a locker (pink thing) that decompresses them to help slide on the hose easier. The clamps come decompressed with the locker, allowing you to slide them into position before removing the pink locker.
Hope this helps someone...cheers!
I dont know much about cars but I like nice things that go fast!
