Default Anyone use AT205?

Been hearing about it a bit and that it actually works - instead of doing a more expensive valve gasket replacement for my trickle of a leak, I may order this instead.
Priority 1 is to make sure it won't eff up my engine because it's built for new engines or something ha.

Anyone have success using the product?

You mean the stop leak stuff?

Yes it does work great actually. I had a serious power steering gear box leak on one of my classic cars, and that was the only stuff that actually worked and I literally tried everything else on the shelf from the parts store, nothing worked besides that ATP.

Not sure how it will stop leaks in engines, it doesn’t hurt to try though as there’s not many ounces in that small bottle.

Yes, I got quoted $830.34 for replacing valve cover gaskets but figure if it's safe, I'd try the $20 stuff first. Particularly since the leak is so minor that the mechanic said it's been leaking for a very long time but there was no need to top off the oil between changes.

Damn that’s a lot of $$ for just some valve cover gaskets. Just dump a little bit in the oil, maybe half of the bottle to see if it helps slow down that leak to get you by for now.

Start with re-tightening the valve cover bolts (to 55 inch.lbs). It will probably take care of 95% of the leak. Then you can add the AT205 if necessary.

Engine additives are usually a last resort as they can add sometimes add more serious problems than the issues your originally tried to correct. I can understand adding a Transmission fix for a transmission that no longer functions, but throwing something in the engine to stop a minor leak is questionable...at least my opinion. Yes changing valve cover gaskets is a PITA on our cars, but once done (properly) will last many years.

This /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Emphasis on INCH lbs! 55 inch lbs = 4.5 foot lbs, aka just snug.
Don’t mess with the snake oil product.
