Default 2004-2006 LS430: Can I upgrade trim level features?

Is there a way to install the Mark Levinson Premium Audio System, the Lexus voice-activated DVD Navigation System with backup camera and Bluetooth wireless technology on a 2004-2006 Premium trim level model?
I see that the location of the HVAC vents is different.
Is it true that the wiring harness is not there and would need to be installed? $$ job?
Same Q for the adaptive cruise control on the CL trim.

I just wrecked my 2004 8P8 ML and am having a hard time finding color 8P8 in ML or higher.
Thanks in advance!

I cannot imagine. Different amp, different speakers, etc. Plus ML parts alone are very expensive if even available, and if used, who knows if any good? What are you aiming for? Buy an ML+ in a different color or consider adding a 3rd party radio/Nav upgrade, by yourself or from an expert installer. They must exist to fit the original non-Nav layout... I imagine either is better than trying to upgrade. To what end? Nav, or sound? The only other difference I can think of is clinate-controlled seats?

Good luck.

More work and expense than it's worth. You may just have to buy an ML in another colour.

You have a Base model with the Pioneer system, and you want install a Mark Levinson system? With all due respect, that's crazy. First of all, the Levinson system is only marginally better than the Pioneer in terms of sound. Second of all, the Levinson system is far, far less reliable (esp. the subwoofer system). Third of all, the Levinson system uses weird things like 2-ohm speakers that are extremely hard to find; the Pioneer uses bog-standard stuff. Fourth of all, parts for the Levinson system are extremely expensive.

In sum, NOT having the Levinson system is often claimed to be a godsend.

The DVD-based Nav system is wildly outdated. You'll do far better with a regular smartphone.

.... speaking of which, if you just want Bluetooth functionality, just get a Grom box and install it behind your radio ... it's very very easy and you just call up CD1 on the changer and you're in business.

To answer the question directly, I have never seen anyone trying but there are indirect evidences that you cannot simply swap the head unit. For an example, the 2001-2004 ML amplifier has a different part number, and the ML speakers have different part numbers.
