Question Dealer Ordered Wrong Car!-Help!!

I placed a $500 deposite 2 weeks ago with my name attached to a new Moonlight Pearl '04 LS430 w/Sport suspension, Nav/ML & Smart Access. The car arrived today w/o Sport suspension. Obviously, it did not have the 18" wheels either. The salesperson was obviously embarrased, but If I had to point fingers, it would be the GM, who told her it had the Sport suspension, when it was at port.

Fortunately a Black one with the Sport suspension and equally optioned was delivered as well, but it had the chrome wheels. Not being a big fan of chrome wheels I asked the dealer if they would switch out the wheels with the dealer demo...Just the wheels not the tires. Figuring the demo has several hundred miles, I'd rather have the newer treads. The dealer said they would do it, but I haven't made up my mind.

Does anyone have any suggestions, advice or foresight as to how I handled, should've handled or negotiate further negotiations on the Blackmobile???

Also if a dealer out there that can deliver to St.Louis and has a Crystal White w/Sport, Nav/ML & Smart Access...I'm interested!!! Contact me on this forum or email me direct at ...rajaremax@aol.com Thank you!!!

Never settle for anything except for what you really want so decide what it is that you want and enjoy your new LS whichever it is. If you're confused, wait and sort out your thought process. Good luck with your decision.

You are paying way tooo much to settle. Be patiant and get EXACTLY what you want. If the black is what you want then get it but DONT settle or you will NEVER be happy with the car.

If you were happy with the black, it would be in your garage now.

No doubt wait it out. And I would maybe ask for an extra free service since it wasn't your fault Sad part is you really should have to ask

Default Raj-Only take what you WANT!

The advice you are receiving from the other members is 100% correct. Do NOT take the car if it is not what you ordered/want.
I ordered an 03 UL w/summer tires. The car came in with winter tires. I told the dealer I didn't want the car and he immediately coughed up 5 Michelins that I wanted.
Get exactly what you want or you will never be happy with the car.
Negotiate everything before you give the dealer any money-You are still in the drivers seat. Once money has exchanged hands you have lost your advantage.
Good Luck.
