Need Advice
2000 LS400
317,800 km
Needs a bit of love (one front control arm, two rear control arms, an axle boot)
Comes with one front control arm, an extra catalytic converter, 9 wheels
I have spent a lot of time and money maintaining her, even adding sheepskin seat covers, custom mats, plasti-dip paint protection (matte black), Radio (Nakamichi) has an Aux jack added, comes with extra Nak radio (lol), timing service done last year, lots of bushings and suspension replaced already...I really love this car.
I am not sure HOW to sell her.
I tried autotrader and kijiji (canada) but I only get lowballers
What do you think it is worth and where or how should I try selling her for a price that is reasonable?
Cheers!

I think what's affecting the offers mainly are the mileage and the paint.
How does the car look beneath the plastidip? How does it look with the plastidip?
A few photos would be helpful. Plastidip paintjobs are not always that appealing for sale, and if you can remove it safely and the car looks good underneath, it could help the value

It's worth what people are willing to pay. Low Retail · $3,675 ; Average Retail · $5,900. USD.
The thing is everyone puts money into their vehicles, it's part of owning car. Trying to recoup the money you put into from the next buyer is not that easy and most are not willing to compensate that. If it needs work it's probably worth below low retail.

The last car I sold it took more than a month, probably 30-40 messages from lowballers and the 2nd person to physically come see it bought it. It was a manual v6 accord - but I got the money I was asking for it. It just takes time.
Hey @bornking , I've seen your car listed on kijiji before. I think the full mat black body and wheel plasti dip treatment might not be doing any favors to the sale of your car. You may like it, but its could be likely more people may not. Maybe if you removed it and showed the cars natural beauty it could help you sell it. Otherwise it sounds like a well cared for car. But also, asking price and expectation might need to come down to sell it. Though id personally recommend keeping the car because there is more value in that than selling it if you've invested a lot of money into maintaining it.
Hi everyone
Thank you for the feedback
I greatly appreciate it
Notes:
The paint underneath was brand new (insurance painted the whole car)
It looks great with the plastidip especially when washed (or rained on)
I am not sure if I can remove it without affecting the clear coat underneath...although it SHOULD not affect it, one never knows...
Also there are two small rust bubbles which are barely visible with the plasti-dip, and obvious without it...I always point them out but, alas
Thank you guys again for the input
What's killing me is that I LOVE this car!
