Thank you! Just upgraded the wife's car by rep[lacing the original NAV system with a Kenwood that has Apple Car Play. Added backup camera and Bluetooth handsfree phone capability. Figured it was much more economical than a new LS.

LOL... that's probably true. Just give it a new look on the dash, a couple more bells and whistles and keep the overall look and ride. Why didn't Lexus think of that?

Exactly! It's is funny that one of the Lexus dealers here outsources their Lexus customers to my sound system guy. The other Lexus location I visited was not interested in helping me at all and instead of the service advisor I asked for, had a salesman come out and proceed to tell me I needed to buy a new one because NOBODY could take out the NAV system and still have functioning Climate Control. Gives good salespeople... a bad name....

My 91 ls400 has over 318k miles (Odometer stopped 4-5 years ago) and I commuted 50+ miles for work and traveled to LA and bay area occasionally 5-6months per year. Car still runs fine besides im trying to locate a coolant leak.

just came into this car, 97 ls400 with 193k on odometer, came from seller with another used transmission swapped into it. just replaced thermostat and a radiator hose. fixed my auto tilt steering wheel, from other threads here. runs great! i've been scouring through this site, and am learning by leaps and bounds everything possible that will possibly need to be done to this car. i anticipate timing belt/water pump will be next, there's no history on the car after 122k miles, and that was from the Lexus Owner's site.

Yep... better jump on that timing belt, water pump and all the front seals @dlcoffin . Welcome to the club and enjoy the ride.
Might want to consider plugs, PCV valve, grommet and hose, tranny service and rear dif. After that should be good for another 120k miles.

The 1994 I picked up has 283,500 miles and runs like a champ.
The 1995 I got by mistake had about 167,000 before the motor and trans were put in a 4runner.
I'm going to get a 1991 in a couple days and it has about 225,000 miles.

Default High Mileage

Hi. I have a 99 LS 400. It has 306000 Miles on it. Perfect inside but it has scratches on body. Engine and Auto Transmission is sweet.

It's basically there, within a thousand miles or something. IIRC Farah said on a podcast that it's going to Florida for some activities.

But it has been a while since an update.
