1uzfe swap
I own a 1999 ls400 and have a crack all the way down #7 cylinder. I used aluminum brazing rod to seal it but am unsure how thats going to work.
because of this i searched for options for an engine block near me and i found one and paid for it. Havemt picked it up yet but am wondering if a 1995 1uzfe block will fit my 1999 ls400
Thank you

The main bearings are different, older had studs/nuts newer just bolts. Or maybe I have that reversed either way there was a change. Will the block work for you? Probably, only one way to find out.

Turn the negative into a positive..go with a 3UZ-FE engine. Plug and play.
1UZ engines from model year 97 and older are non-VVTi so they will certainly lack the oil galleys for the VVTi system...however i'm not 100% if the older model year block would not work on the 99.
are oil passages differ only at the heads? if so then you can theoretically swap over your VVTi heads.
