I was about to get one of those until randomly I was on the fixd website and saw a promo for free fixd. So I used a credit card and shipped to work..lo and behold a genuine one arrived.
Ancel AD310
I can't stand the idea of an OBDII scanner requiring a phone to read the code. The AD310 tells you the problem right on screen. You can find a new one on eBay for around $25.
I bought an Autel al619 a few years ago to fix my grandsons BMW that he bought from a person who had been in a wreck. That scanner lets you clear airbag codes and troubleshoot abs issues too. I've gotten tons of use out of it and really like it. I have a full time cheapy in my Lexus that I can read with my phone.
