HID emits more light than LED. Therefore you can't upgrade to LED from HID.

All USDM 99-00 LS400s had factory HID.

you can upgrade the high beam but again the halogens probably emit more light than most cheapy brand LEDs out there.
also you will alter the DRL function if you upgrade the high beam bulbs (they will flicker and running anti-flicker modules will only put the bulb on full power causing unnecessary glare to oncoming traffic, etc).

 

Gotcha, wont bother with this upgrade on the ls. On my mx3 ill upgrade them cuz they are dim as hell
