Winding Road Performance...
Well I have to admit that before this weekend I have not had the opportunity to take my new ( purchased 2 months ago ) 96' Celsior on a very twisty road.... The end result of which was a VERY pleasant surprise regarding the Celsior's handling characteristics...
I visited Kiroro Resort this weekend just outside of Otaru - a Japanese seaside resort town about an hour out of Sapporo..... The Road up to this Summer Golf / Winter Ski resort has lots of narrow double apex, off camber and decreasing radius corners mixed with 5 - 7% up and downgrades... I was manually shifting to circumnavigate any trans shift lag and I was extremely impressed with how the Celsior would hit it's turn in point on command, glide through the apex smoothly and unwind to the exit with little or no effort.... And all this from what? a 2 ton car???????
I was soaking in all of this in on the drive home on the expressway when I sudden realized how really good this car is as a total package when my wife proclaimed " My God, this car is quiet "...

Man you must have been smilling from ear to ear when you wife said that. Theres no better feeling to me than when my wife says something good about my car. Shes always nagging at me that I'm obsessed with our cars (and I am).
Well that it too cool to here about the handling charecteristics of the LS. Unfortunatly I live in South Florida and all we have is flat long roads. No curves at all but they are lined with Palm Trees and girls in Bikinies year around...
Have a great day

And your wife is right! Sometimes after playing a gig I'll drive home with the stereo off because it's so quiet; exactly what I need after many hours of standing in front of loud speakers.

Higuma,
I was stationed in Norhern Japan and loved the time I was there. I still miss it to this day and it has been 4 years. I miss racing at night with all the Japanese guys and sometimes gals. At that time I had a 2nd gen Honda Integra XS (1.6 VTEC). God I loved that car.
You wouldn't happen to have some pics of your Celsior or the cute Japanese honeys for me to reminesce would you ?
