Default License plate screw thread?

Do any of you know what thread the license plate screws are...metric, inch?

With the pending CA license plate renewals, I don't want the plates or sticker going anywhere...I'm considering installing a tamper resistent screw.

TIA

Just a related comment - I replaced the nylon license plate screws on my 93LS with stainless steel. The nylon ones cracked when I tried to remove them. Dealer told me this was very common. - Herm

What are the screws that hold the air-box to right-above the passenger wheel well?

Thanks guys!

For now I drilled out the stock screw head and tapped a 6-32 stainless spanner head in there. It covers up the Phillips head for now.
