Going for a stock look in the interior, I think I succeeded. Only thing you can see in the cabin is the head unit. Microphone is temporary... I have an OEM looking one I will mount at a later date.
So far I really like the Alpine, I do miss a volume ****.
Hertz separates are great for the $100 I spent on them. The crossovers were small enough to mount in the speaker enclosure.
Ported box was for an extended cab truck, I pointed the port at the stock subwoofer location. I put hooks on the box, then attached cables to solid points on the firewall. Used turnbuckles to snug it up to the back of the trunk. I may build a sealed box with the 10” sub firing through the stock location, I prefer sealed over ported.
Still have some tuning to do with the amps, but they are pretty damn good already.
Ran 2 8 GA power wires, mounted the fuses under the battery hold down out of view. To the back of the engine bay, through the firewall on the passenger side, then down the side of the car on the floor passing through into the trunk right below the rear passenger side seat belt connection.
RCA’s and speaker wires run under the console up and over down through the stock subwoofer location.
Ran the speaker wires back to the stock amp under the seat, and soldered them to the stock harness. Worked great. I attached Photos showing the wire colors.
Not sure if this should be in "The mother thread" or what else I should tag to help others in future searches.
Thanks to all the people on this forum that have put up information for this over the years, I could not have done it without it! The Components Rear Enclosure Front Encolsure Crossover in the box... Stock Mount fit tweeter well, 2 sided tape on the back for stability Soldering in the rear foot well was fun. That was not when I burnt myself though... that was on the bench...
