Default Widest wheels without fender modifications

I did some searching but the initial thread was designed and subjected about the ls430. I am trying to find who is running aftermarket wheels on their ls400 (preferably 98+) without running and fender modifications. I'm mainly asking because I am concerned about pulling the fender trim off and having to cut the rear lips since its double walled and rolling is not an easy option. I know it will depend on how much of a stretch I run on the tire etc, I've dealt with my fair share of lowered cars I just am looking to lower the car an inch or 2 on coils and get something more aggressive then the OEM 16s. If you have photos that's even better.

Thanks!

In before someone tells you to check the fitment thread. I literally sat on my couch and went through every page in that thread looking for the same info. Didn't find anything really helpful. People were either running very conservative or aggressive set ups.

I have a set of Locksmice Dukes that I want to rebuild and wanted to get a baseline on the widest setup I can run with oem fenders.

Hopefully someone can chime in with useful info.

I said in the initial post probably an inch or 2 at most. Not looking to slam at this time.
