The battery discharge light came on I suspect it is a bad alternator. What is a fair price for a replacement alternator using a rebuilt generator

 

I got a rebuild alternator from a reputable eBay shop for 98 dollars and free priority shipping for my 91 LS 4 months ago.

Depending on your know how. It can take a person from 15 minutes to an hour. I suggest you do it yourself and save money. I am going to upload a pdf file that will help you change your alternator on your 99 LS.

When ours died and stranded us, I'd had it towed to the dealer. The service cost us just touching $800. They put us in a then new ES330 for the part day it took for the service. Rebuilt Denso at $375. That can be expected from a dealer purchased part. Rock Auto has the remanufactured Denso's for $125 and $34 core if you want to DIY.
