Default headlamps work, no park lamps work

My "new" '98 LS400. (I've had this car only two weeks and I love it already.)
Only lamps that work on the front of the car are the hi & low beam headlamps.
Are the lamps next to the headlamps supposed to be on when the headlamps or park lamps are turned on?
Also, The fog lamps do not work either. I've checked the fuses for both these lamps and the bulbs and they are good.
Thank you in advance
Jim

The LS is famous for not having working fog lights, but if I’m you I would check the wiring (grab it with your hand ) and follow the wires to see if there is any corrosion or wiring that is exposed or was cut, that’s what happen to mine. Check the relay also while you are at it, good luck

How do you know that the bulbs are good? Also, the fog lights only come on with the low beams.

The bulbs light up when using the turn signals, just not as park lamps

The front parking lights - also known as city lights in Europe - are very small (5W ?) bulbs in the headlight housing. Yours are probably burned out. I posted a photo of the bulb location at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ml#post3254305

this is normal, the signal lamps are only used for signaling, nothing else (no dual filament).
the parking lamps are inside the headlight themselves (city lights as Kansas stated) and the side marker lights on the bumper sides.

Exactly. My LS failed VA state inspection because they were out. I had no idea what they were and kept looking for them. The inspection station swapped them out when I brought the car back. They do look rather nice but the xenon is the best look. I keep them on during the daytime too.
