Lexus LS 400 1998 wiring replacement
Hi Folks,
I have a situation.
I bought the subjected car few months a go and it was badly maintained. Most of the electrical systems were not working and we found lots of wire cuts and modifications.
later we managed to perfect the car mechanically. Still, the electrical systems including height controls, vsc, abs, central locking, wireless door locks/unlocks were not working.
So, i managed a complete wiring from Dubai which is either from 1998 or 1999 model and we recently replaced the whole wiring. From a different car, we managed a new steering, keys and ECU. After replacement, we are not able to start the car so far as the car indicates security light blinking. The engine cranks but does not start. the wireless door lock unlock is also not working. Just to be precise, right now, we have complete wiring changed that is from one donor car and steering/keys and ECU all from another car.
We had tried using old steering, keys and ECU with new wiring but the result is same. Need your expert opinion, if we are missing any other module from immobiliser system that is not compatible? any guidance will be much appreciated
Regards

I am not an expert. A 30 year lexus dealer mechanic did tell me that the communication box on my 98 was specific to year, make, model, and options on the vehicle. Hard to find a replacement. My understanding is that some sensor information from the powertrain goes first to this communication box, and then distributed to gauges and the ECU, and such.
