Unfortunate LS build.
i recently came in reach of 10K from my grand father who passed away, he knows my love for cars so this is going to my LS. My current LS has a wrecked hood, right fender. Lower valve cover gasket leaks, among other things. Is this car honestly worth fixing up or should I buy another LS? Thoughts on how much all that total could cost or if it’s even worth it? (Based off if anyone has had to replace similar things) thank you.

Not enough details on the condition of your LS and or your situation. You'll have to evaluate what your goals-term is for the LS. A year or more, etc. What other financial situations can this money be applied, etc. If there are no other financial issues to come then your options are open.

Find one with lower miles and FULL SERVICE RECORDS. If it doesnt have records it means it hasnt been serviced. These cars, serviced, are fine automobiles, not serviced they are like any and all other used cars.5 grand you should be able to find one in very very good condition.Be patient and wait until a nice one drops in your lap you can spend thousands less.

I’m patient yes, mine probably still has a few years left of life but all it’s faults take my smile away everytime I see it, I was hoping to get to 500K but looks like I’ll come up 160K short.
