Exclamation 98-00 Black Leather Interior FULL at Yard

Hello everyone,

I figured a few of you in the NY area might be interested in this. I decided to stop by a self-service junk yard today, called Gary's U Pull-It in NY, and found a full black leather interior for a 1998-2000 LS 400 in the yard.

I forgot to check the production date of the car, but the vehicle is mostly complete. All 5 rims are present, some better than others, but overall 3/5 in good shape, all mouldings are in good shape, rear bumper is good, tail lights are present, headlights are non-self adjusting (standard), and it has the CD changer option. The center console wood and climate controls are gone along with the cluster and tool kit. The front right fender and rear right quarter panel have rust. The dash bezel was broken, I think, but the rest of the interior is near-perfect. All engine bay components seemed present, other than a few grommets and relays and fuses.

Unfortunately, the driver's side of the interior did get a little wet, so it will need to be dried (door trims and seats), but the leather is quite supple and wear is minimal.

If any of you are nearby and interested, definitely check it out soon. You will need to bring your own tools and may need to make a few trips to complete the job.

There is a gold/sandstone 1998-2000 there too, but the right side of it is wrecked. Interior of that car is gone.

Me too. I hope someone can at least get the interior before it gets junked, which is why I felt I should post this. It was really in pretty decent shape.

I don't think so, no. I have little experience with UCF20/21 models, but I recall reading here that there were various changes made to the seats for 1998. I hope someone else can confirm this

Man how does that steering wheel look? Wood in good shape? Shift gate too? I’d send you money if you grabbed them ha.

Both looked pretty good, yes. I didn't inspect them too closely, but I didn't notice any fading or peeling. I am a few hours away from the yard, and was just there as I was passing through

sad day but yes the 98-up seats will not wire up to an older car without major work. even the steering wheel will not bolt up to an older 95-97 car...wishing for wood grain!
