Default 93 LED interior light swap drama

I searched and found that this was an issue for other models and years but no real solutions. Not much for mods but wanted some better lighting. About 3 bulbs in I get to the passengers footwell bulb. Remove the glass bulb, slide in the new led and see a small spark then nothing. Now dome light, ignition ring and foot wells are out. Checked every fuse. All good. I did try a new used “door control receiver” that’s mounted in the trunk near the antenna. Did not help. Seems some of these cars have a door mpx ecu. Problem is I can’t seem to find the one in my 93. Anyone have a location and or pics of this or a possible better diagnosis?

go back to the fuses, one of the under-dash fuses control the interior lights. I believe there's 2 dome fuses involved, possibly one of the radio fuses.

Don't just visually inspect, test them for continuity with a multimeter.

+1 on the test them... I know it's a pain, but that is probably what you've done. I wish the LEDs were not polarity sensitive, then you could just disconnect the battery and install them. But, that is not the case...
