Puddle lights won’t turn on when door opens
So, my puddle lights and some light won’t turn on when my driver door opens. The puddle light flickers with the door opens but won’t light up. The dome light just stays off. I have a 93 ls400 any help ?
sounds like the trigger in the door latch is defective. there is a negative switch trigger in the latch itself that tells the car a door is open to trigger the dome/puddle/dash lights.
try to spray electronics cleaner in there (alcohol based so it evaporates) first to see if you can clean the contacts without removal. if not success, you will have to take it apart to clean or replace.
