Default Best Exhaust Kits/Piping

Just curious on everyone's preference. I know some of you enjoy the stock feel and some want to be louder than Godzilla. Im looking to upgrade and just want some input. Custom exhausts dont count

try removing just the rear mufflers and see how you like it. I did a muffler delete on mine with some Vibrant 3" dual tips out each side and it sounds very mellow when cruising and nice and sporty when I get on it. I has a slight drone at 1600rpm, but after 55-60, its just like stock on the highway

I removed the rears when I got the car. Im used to the roar of my 02 Ram so Im trying to find a similar sound to it that is loud enough to turn heads when I open it up on the streets but not loud enough to **** the neighbors off when I come home at night.

this car literally has 5 mufflers and 2 cats so you could keep going until its loud enough, or delete the 4 rear mufflers, add an X pipe and see how loud that is.

I'd also appreciate some input in this thread- I removed my rear 2 mufflers for about a week but didn't like the sound much. It was a bit too much like my neighbor's Ram 1500 with an exhaust kit hahaha. Still I like the idea of a little more sound, just not raspy.

Custom piping might as well be the only option at the end of the day, but unless I find a good muffler to replace the rear 2 stocks, I might just end up sawing off the first 2 mufflers off and hope for the best. I took the entire system off once before for ****s and giggles and almost threw up at the Dbs it was putting out.

i made one over a weekend. high flow cats into 2.5 to x pipe to 2.5, to the first mufflers then a 1.5 through the rear muffler delete and out. Its sounds awesome if you like the sound of a mustang. Can post a video if you want to hear it.

I suggest checking out these very detailed exhaust threads, as linked from the FAQ at the top of the forum.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...pgrades-3.html

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...spiration.html

The tried and true setup for these cars outside of forced induction is a 2.25" dual system from the factory cats back, X-pipe crossover, and 2 mufflers of your choice. I recommend the longest straight-through mufflers you can fit. If still too loud, add resonators.
