i am working on my ls400 as i can.

when i got the car it was 100% stock. when i mod a car i do everything i can to make stuff bolt in and make it look like factory. my ls has the nakamichi system. 7 speakers and only 3 sort of work. the sub works, one tweeter and one rear door speaker. f

rear doors:

installation: these went in pretty easy. heated the back of the speaker box with a heat gun and pushed the back out a little so the speaker did not hit the bottom.

front doors:
tweeter: DAYTON ND20FB-4
its a rear mount 3/4" soft dome with good reviews $14.20 each

installation: pretty straight forward. removed the stock tweeter from the bracket. then used a die grinder to open up the stock tweeter bracket to accept the tweeter.. tweeter has four holes for mounting that work with the factory bracket.

so far:
rears sound decent for 4" speakers...the new front front tweeters are ok. i thought they would be brighter. i am playing with the crossover points and the 4" woofer in the door still. as i work on this and finalize the system i will update this thread.
