u have a 3.3 v-6. premium isnt required/recommended

 

 

That's the thing with the infinite scroll, it links a similar thread so is easy to quickly scroll down and think you are still in the same thread.

 

hate that feature! whoever thought this would be helpful was sorely wrong!

 

Hi Mike, RA40, after my 2nd TB/WP the first of the year, it almost went away, then when it overheated and
RADIATOR:
I had to replace mine at 220k, this year, would not circulate coolant properly and ran HOT.. but I was on top of it and done no damage except to my childrens $$$.. water pump failed(from running so hot) so I redone TB/WP (actually thought I had bought a "cheap" kit) the heat overcame the pump, and after replacing IT, could not get it to run with out getting VERY hot in only two blocks,,, took us four days to find it was the radiator NOT circulating properly... it never leaked.. in fact we just replaced the radiator because there was nothing else to replace... and it was it... ran like a champ, still does... be careful.. guys.. (& gals)
SO: if yours is running over normal... well a hint to the wise is sufficient..

now it dosent do it, so I'm thinking it was running a little warm, even if the gauge didnt show it, not much but just enough to make it "knock"..

Sometimes a little change can make that fine balance go away. Really happy the the LSPI is gone and your baby is running great! For both of us, the radiator did really well. Mine was done at the 200K interval due to leaking from the top tank.
