need help in Indianapolis, IN
My son is broken down in Indianapolis with a 1991 LS400 with a water leak of some kind... He is not mechanical at all and is currently trying to add "bars-leak" to help stop the leak. It is not showing any vapor or anything visible... He hasn't overheated it ---Yet anyway! Can anybody point me to a trustworthy mechanic to help him out? Email me at RGA@FrontierNet.net with anythiing you can provide!!!!
Thanks
Fred

Please tell him NOT to add any type of stop leak if you can regardless of what brand or make it is. He probably did already so it's to late. Those chemicals and powders only inflict more harm and will increase the cost, labor, and time of the repair.
Sorry, I am not from Indianapolis so I can't be of further help.

Thanks for your input. He is safely down for the night at a local motel and will be searching for a mechanic in the morning. He has put the "Bars-Leak" in as well as about 1/2 gal of 1 50/50 antifreeze mixture. Hopefully in the light he'll see it is nothing more than a loose hose connection. The hoses were replcaced less than 10K miles ago.
