Default Correct Pulley Holding Tool

When removing and installing power steering pump pulley, air conditioner compressor clutch assembly, VVT-I Cam phasers, aligning camshafts and cam pulleys, it pays to have well designed special.service tools.

Reinstalling P.S. pump pulley nut ..using AST Tool #7200...prevents wrenching new power steering pump internals or externals by shoving some random tool in the spokes.Works effectively and effortlessly..

Now show me a video of this tool holding the cam pulley while you loosen the bolts.

The image presented in this post depicts AST Tool #7200 holding the P.S. pulley in place while tightening nut...

This same tool is depicted in the Lexus Service Manual....have a look in exhaust cam scissor gear reference..

It is very useful.for locking in place the
VVT-i cam phaser to prevent wrenching internals while removing and tightening large front threaded hexhead sealing cap ...of course at this point the cam pulleys are removed.

As to.the VVT-i cam phasers pulleys, the AST Tool would require smaller diameter pins to fit, say, the allen head bolt sockets.

I may fabricate something. Stay tuned
