Default Opinion on these wheels. Keep or swap?

Hi guys. Here is my 91 Celsior with 70k miles. Currently on xyz coils and 20" wheels. I am not the biggest fan but my kids love them.

Just wondering what you guys think. I'm leaning towards a more period correct 18 or 19 with a white striped Tyre.

I really like those! Me personally I would get those in a size smaller, maybe 18 or 19's. Either way I think they look great!

Love the car! I do enjoy one piece race inspired wheels on our sedans.
I think 18s or 19s suit LS400/Celsior the best. Im on 18s myself.
I don't think they are terrible but I would keep an eye out for something similar just in a bit smaller diameter to really dial in the look. I'm all for period correctness!
70k miles is unheard of in my part of the world. nice...

white striped tire isn't really period correct, at least in my eyes. I would definitely downsize myself to 18s at most just to get rid of all that weight! but if you like it, just keep it!

What do you mean by a white striped tire? I hadn't ever considered anything other than normal blackwalls for these, maybe there's a reason haha. Any idea what kind of wheel you'd look for? I do think the ones on there now look a little big.

Yea It was a lucky find. The interior is in unreal shape and the engine is great. Just needs some things replaced as its still almost 27 years old. From what I could find it was purchased and imported the year it was released and then just sat for most of its life as someone lost the import papers. Most of the miles have been put on it in the last 10 years.

The wheels on there are insanely low weight. Which is really bad when you combine it with the coils and low profile tyres. There a quite a few very small buckles in the wheels and who ever put them on was really not thinking. I think I will look for some nice 18s that are more full faced.

As for the white wall. Just wanting something that looks different and a bit weird. Even just white lettering maybe.
