It is the likely culprit as everything else checks, and not only no brake lights but no outa park solenoid working either. I'll do it when I have the time. Its not on my car per say.

Have you checked the brake lights failure sensor in the trunk, dicer? I have seen the connector there was partially burnt or the solder there was cracked but I have never experienced the brake switch failed although I have many times among Mercedes cars.

The connector at the sensor handles a big current for 8 bulbs and the peak current exceeds 35A and the average 13A. The repetition of this for many years sometimes causes the connection problem.

Same scenario with my car years ago. Brake lamp switch replacement fixed everything.

What all did you remove to access it? My hand won't even reach it.

It would be better to ask python because the Lexus dealership fixed it for my previous owner.

If you have the receipts what did they charge? That may give an idea how difficult it was.

No receipts, just looking on Lexus Driver which doesn't show the price. Did some looking around and found out that it is inexpensive to fix at the dealer and takes 15-20 mins to replace. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...e-stop-switch/

I don't think just 15 to 20 minutes. Especially if things need to be removed like the cluster or ?

That's what I was thinking but supposedly it's simple.

Yeah it could be simple if it was able to be reached. A 2 year old with 4 foot long arms could do it.

I wonder how you judge the switch is needed to replace without reaching the arm to it.
