Default 1994 LS400 - Need Injector Replacement Advice

Greetings fellow LS400 owners.

I have determined that my #7 injector is bad (open/infinite resistance). I would like to replace all of them, but I cant stomach paying Lexus prices for new OEM unit 23250-50020 (QTY 8), so I am considering remanufactured units. However I am having trouble verifying when a particular injector re-manufacturer is reliable. There are tons of them on ebay for super cheap, they all claim to be remanufactured to OEM specs, but at about $9 a pop? That's got to be a roll of the dice.

I would appreciate if other forum users could recommend something remanufactured based on their experience replacing injectors. Mine is a 1994 (125k miles), but I would like to hear your opinion even if you dont have the same car/year.

Thanks in advance.

Just checked rockauto and they've got them for over $30... not sure about ebay quality. If it was me, I'd buy the better ones as needed and swap out the bad ones over time... or plan to do one a month or something like that if you want to swap them all out.
My experience is you're better off buying better quality part than going cheap and paying for it later as you sit on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck.

At your low mileage, I'd expect the injectors to be in good shape. I don't recall seeing many reports on here of failures.

So are you sure you want to replace all 8 and not just the one that failed? If you had one spark plug fail (but not wear out), would you replace all 8?

I have a 99LS with 244K miles, planning a starter replacement job. Does it make sense to replace injectors at the same time?

The injectors and fuel rail will remain attached to the intake manifold assembly so technically you are not removing them. Just the intake manifold they are attached to. Since you are dis connecting the fuel line I would definitely consider replacing the injector o rings as you will have easy access.

Some time ago I bought a set of OEM remanufactured injectors ( just in case) they come with new o-rings.
The original injectors are probably fine, I just don't know if I would benefit from replacement.

If you've already spent the money then you're not really out anything. You probably wont be able to tell the difference.
