1995. Fuel mileage, p0420,p0430 and door ajar light
On a full tank which includes 70% hwy, I am getting only 330 miles to a tank. This is when the fuel light comes on.I have done a tune up, which included changing oxygen sensors, plugs, wires and rotors.I am still getting the same fuel mileage.I am also getting the common PO 420 and 430 codes. The cat is something I havnt changed. Can a bad cat cause that much bad fuel mileage? It seems easy to change out the cat. Has anyone ever changed their cat and gotten better fuel mileage?20 gallons to go only 330 miles is terrible.I am expecting at least 380 miles to a full tank.I have even changed the fuel filter and I have the K&N drop in.
The door ajar light is on. Oh yes, I have done my research.Mind you, 1995 door ajar switch is totally different from the 1st gen and so that LS site will not help me.Someone suggested spraying liquid wrench on the door locks. I did and it's still draining my battery.I even unplugged the dome light to save from draining the battery.Any ideas?.
