Default new ls400 owner in Tucson, AZ

hello all!

i recently bought a non-running ls400 for a good deal. it has 20" wheels made by work, coil overs, new battery etc. it needs some TLC but i love it so far! thanks to this forum and the info here i have been getting it running better each day that goes by. so thanks very much for the threads!

i repair alot of things, and TIG weld for a living... i make stainless exhausts on the side, and have a bridgeport mill etc

if anyone needs help in the southern AZ area with their car, or welding [aluminum, steel, stainless etc] let me know

Awesome! We've got a couple active 2nd gen guys up here in the East valley area. I'll be relocating to Chandler from Scottsdale this weekend to hopefully be closer to my dream job of working for an OEM as a Durability Test Engineer. Went for an in person interview last Friday. It's for Nissan, but I'm really a Honda guy, though I bought an LS400 for DD duty so I'm all over the place.

Post some pictures up of your ride! Curious to see how it looks with all those mods.

my other cars all needed TLC when i got them lol....

these are what i currently own:
1971 volvo 142 [was drivable]
1988 volvo 244 [was drivable, barely]
1990 volvo 745se [was sitting... i dunno 7 years?]
1985 toyota pickup [was sitting 4+ years]

i like well made things, i appreciate the effort that goes into making things... what is that saying... if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right.

paint is great in the front, sadly it sat in a car port and the paint on the rear is failing. no accidents or dents really

I concur. By the way, congratulations on your purchase! Do you have any plans for the car?

Sometimes I see 20s on an LS400 and think, those look too big......
