The glove box lighting module uses a wispy T 1-3/4 all-glass wedge base bulb that does not provide adequate illumination.. The fit of the incandescent bulb is so tight that the only glass envelop that seems to fit into the socket is the OEM bulb. Superb molding job by the OEM supplier, but as discussed in other postings on interior lighting, black is a poor reflector of light...

So to improve the siuation, I applied high temperature outdoor rated aluminum foil tape with high surface energy pressure sensitive adhesive to the bulb cavity..

Like night and day..
