code 41 check light flickering
Hi , I could use some help please. I have a 93 LS400 with a flickering check light .After 2/3 throttle and engine cuts out. Code 41 TPS sensor. I replaced sensor and calibrated with ohm meter to close the circuit at .40mm and opens circuit at about .120mm the best I could do on the throttle position switch. That was between Idl1 and e2. Drove the car no change.
Checked voltage readings, key on. Found that between VTA1 and E2 throttle closed had 0.6069volts , throttle open 3.7779 volts. IDL1 and E2 throttle closed no voltage and throttle open no voltage. I should have 0-3.0volts closed and 9-14 volts open throttle if okay ? Ohmed E2 to ground have reading . Checked IDL1 voltage to ground no voltage. Went to ecu pin E2/22/brown.reading to ground. Idl1/32/green no voltage reading. Removed plugs from ecu ohmed wires from ecu plug to TPS plug both wires read good. I had all 7 capacitors changed in the ecu no help. Checked fuses in drivers side foot well and driver side engine bay by battery. Same thing. Any thoughts of where I should go from here? Really don't want to buy a new ecu.
Could the ecu be powered out of the car and trouble shot by an electronic tech ?
Does the power on pin 32/green get it's power from the ecu?
Any ecu rebuilders suggestions?
Help would be appreciated, Thanks, Flarenut

Yes real ecu repair outfits could operate it outside the car, that is the only way they can know for sure they fixed it. Tanin says they do not do ecu repairs they just do the capacitor replacement deal. There maybe others that do the same. Pin 32 you need a manual on the car to find out.
