The price is right but I wouldn't take this car for free. Straight out of the ghetto. It's amazing these cars can withstand this sort of punishment. It's a true testament. I haven ever seen an LS400 interior that trashed.

But, the cluster only has 122k miles so that's actually really low miles and greatly adds to the value of the car. (sarcastic)
What year was it? It must be sold now. See how fast and expensive the non modified cars sell.

It's interesting, I never thought of my 98 as rare but it was silver and black. All of the ones I see for sale now have grey interiors.

Wow, that one is beautiful. Dicer's going to say it's with $500 because of the bumper stickers.

Naaaa, I'd just tell the seller to remove them first, and remind them if the paint comes off or there is damage under the sticker, then $6k comes off the price.

Because it costs $6,000 to paint a bumper.

It would cost way more than that to get a factory paint job back on that bumper or what ever had the sticker, post is deleted.
Yeah you could paint the whole car at Maaco for a fraction of that.

The highest quality paint job you could have done on a bumper might cost $1,000. That would be really expensive. Even replacing the bumper cover and painting it may only cost $1000-$1200. You could pay $500 an hour for labor and it would never cost $6,000.

Cost ? Its the stinking hassle to have to deal with it, cause I wouldn't let some goof do it or remove the bumper, I'd have to do it and of course reinstall it so its my hassle that costs. And no matter it ruins any niceness the car had in the beginning. Just watch a tv show like chasing classic cars, people in the know of cars want "original" not joe blows painted this or that, its kinda like my dads old Babe Ruth base ball, it could have been worth huge money if my little brother would have never got his hands on it when he was 4 or 5 and pretty much wore the signed name Babe Ruth off of it, and yeah he kicks himself now.

This is not a classic car...it's an 18 year old Lexus. It's not collectible or special. Great body shops remove and install bumper covers on far more expensive cars every day.

If you pass on a great car like that because of a bumper sticker that's your loss.

Great body shops? Some underpaid work fast or your fired nut, slam bams it, maybe you don't care about stuff but I do. My brother had a car ruined by a nut case in a shop. So guess what my brother and I never take a car any place to let any nut work on it.
My step kids car had a major electrical failure 2 weeks after going to a shop to have the ac system refilled, and had a multi point check, and the battery was marked on the paper as checked. One of the problems was the positive terminal was super loose, so was that done to bring back work? Not sure if that helped destroy the alternator or not. That just helped me remember how nice some shops or their techs can be. Yeah they really checked that battery, and the terminal is one that uses a nut and stud on the clamp, the nut was backed off about 3 turns. So long story short if it is a car I 1. Care about and 2. Use daily and is mine, no one gets near it with a wrench.
