It's been a few days now since my LS starter having a fuel range issue . I notice at a quarter tank it show I have 52 miles left til empty. On my my 430 a quarter tank shows around 120 miles range. I know it's not the same car, but just for reference. I'm wondering if anyone with a Ls400 98 to 2000 can tell me what they get with a quarter tank. I just need to know the range . This is getting kind of strange.

 

i would not go by the computer and go by actuals. of course all cars differ (even same model) due to outside circumstances like gas quality, driver habits, and road conditions. run down the tank and see your range manually.

52 miles on a quarter tank sounds way to small of a range. is your ECT PWR button pressed?

 

depending on the type of driving 1/4 tank should get you 150 miles, that's still over 5.5 gallons... the trip computer is usually pretty conservative, even at a full tank it'll never say more than like 330 miles of range, despite being about 1/2 of what is theoretically possible with a 22.5 gallon tank averaging 29-30 mpg (very possible in the 98-00)
