Default Wanted 1999 LS400 center air vent

If I didn't own a broken one I'd think they didn't exist. I've gone as far as calling multiple online wrecking yards advertising 1999 LS400 part outs and none seem to have it or if they did sent the wrong part (1996). ANy information on the where abouts of said part would be appreciated.
Thanks

you're really kinda screwed trying to find one used. ahh the good ol' No. 2 Register Assy, i remember dealing with that piece when doing my radio LCD repair... that piece is the BIGGEST effin pain in the rectum to deal with, unless you know about the two metal tabs on the inside to pull up on when trying to remove the piece. if you know about the tabs it becomes a walk in the park. at the time of doing this i was not aware of the tabs, or that the actual vent part that you move is not actually really held together by anything. needless to say it came apart and one of the pieces that supports the vent fell into the transmission tunnel somewhere, never to be seen again. ended up being a $450 mistake.

i absolutely couldn't find one of these either and ended up just getting a new one from oemlexusparts. the part you need is 55660-50050 (55660-50060 if yours has the factory nav) and the list price is over $600, but can still be found online for under $500. decide how important for you it is to have it fully functional because your only option really is to buy one new, parts for it are not individually sold

I would look for the radio unit in a junkyard car that is actually still in the car and most likely the vent will still be in there. The junkyards don't list the vent assembly separately.
