98 LS400 Connected jumper cables backwards
I have a 1998 LS400. I connected the battery cables backwards when trying to jump is. Now I have no electrical life in the car. No interior lights or anything. Note: the horn began to blow continuously after I connected the cables wrong. Can I recover from my stupidity?

Thank You paulo57509.
The thread you provided was very helpful. Looks like I need to start by replacing the 120 amp and 80 amp cartridge fuses. however I cannot figure out how to remove the cartridge container. I found the link below, but step 3 is confusing. Does anyone have specific instructions how to remove this container so I can replace fuses?

I don't know what it is about these cars, but putting the battery in backwards or reversing jumper cables seems to be more common than on other cars. Fortunately, the remedies have been discussed a lot on here already.
Good luck getting it fixed. Should not be too hard.
