Default PPE headers UCF20 clearance issues?

I'm considering installing these headers on my 98 VVTI motor that's going into my 96 chassis. I'm curious to know if anyone has had issues with clearance at all, or any issues for that matter (cracking, etc...)? Planning on ordering today, so any feedback would be appreciated. I searched, but came up with sub par results for the UCF20 PPE headers thread. Maybe I just suck at searching
I hope someone here has these installed and can chime in with a little info. Much appreciated fellas

Try contacting them directly. They're right here in AZ and always very helpful. Good luck!

Thanks fellas. I think I'm going to work with somebody to get some developed(if these PPE's don't work). Again I appreciate the feedback. Stay tuned for what option I end up going with. Also stay tuned for my full build coming up shortly, Namaste

PPE sells headers for the '98-00 LS400, they are just special order and not listed on the site.

The fitment is fine, just note that there is a little bit of grinding on the block (just an unused casting tab, not remotely close to any oil or water passages) and that you need to use the thicker header-cat gasket that they provide, not the OEM ones (exhaust paste is your friend too). OEM manifold gaskets (header to block) work fine.

I've had mine for a while now without issue.

if you're using '98-00 cats and y-pipes the '98-00 SHOULD work, but as you're doing a custom swap be prepared to do some fabwork.

I love mine.
Its a very tight fit. I removed the engine mounts for clearance and had to raise the engine just enough to install easier.
Need to tuck my exhaust soon, cause I'm scared to crack my headers from scraping.
Ps they forgot to send my shortened nut for the drivers side manifold, I couldn't wait so I trimmed the supplied nut.
