Default outside temperature sensor

I have a 2003 LS430. This is my first Lexus. So far it has been great.
I have one question however. The outside temperature does not register correctly for about 20 minutes after I take the car out of the garage. And even then it sometimes registers a little high. I really need this to be correct in the winter, when the temp is almost freezing.
Has anyone heard of a defective sensor in this model, or has anyone had this problem?

You might have a bad sensor, since it should not take that long for the temp to change.
Mine takes seconds to change from garage to outside temps, and yours should too.
I know mine's a 99, but it shouldn't be much different.
