Default Hey Guys

Hey all,

I recently got my first car from my father, a 1991 LS 400, with the Nakamichi sound system, and apparently Chrome wheels. I have a few questions, so please if you could, bear with me.

1) How long did lexus use this body style? I believe it was 1994, but I am not sure.

2) The leather on the drivers side is being to wear and crack, is there any way to fix this?

3) And finally, does any one else have this car with really nice wheels?

Thanks a lot.

Welcome Asad!

1) Your bodystyle was out from 90-94, with some minor changes in 93 to 16 in rims & some interior updates.

2) Really the only thing to do to make your seats look like new is to have new hides installed. If the leather isn't torn all the way through, I'm pretty sure you can have the seats dyed, which would greatly improve it's looks.

3) I used to have a 91 LS years ago & admit that those wheels are pretty ugly. Lots of members here have upgraded their wheels, which isn't a bad idea since I'm assuming you have no car payment & could afford new rims. Many people have gotten a hold of used 93-94 rims & installed them, which is a huge improvement. You can probably find some nice used wheels on e-bay, or maybe some members here are selling their used wheels.

Once again, welcome to ClubLexus.

Thanks for the welcome!

I was wondering what your opinion of these wheels would be? Could any one photoshop these onto a Silver LS400?

And I were to add a new set of subwoofers in my trunk, circa 500 watts RMS, would my CD changer Skip violently? Could I dyno mat it to the point were it doesn't even shake?

Welcome to CL!

Those wheels will not look right on an LS IMO.

If you want check out the LS photo gallery here on CL . Here is the link. https://www.clublexus.com/gallery/sh...at=505&thumb=1
