Was the UCF10 LS400's platform used for the GS, SC, and MKIV Supra?

actually the LS is it's own chassis! there is no car with the same suspension components that relate, among other huge differences. GS and IS are on similar platforms. the MKIV supra shares the SC300/400 platform.

Thanks for the feedback guys, but according to czar07 on FT86club everything is LS based.

Lol, that's almost as funny as a local guy telling me his Escalade "SS" shared the same chassis as the ZR1 Corvette, they just put a SUV body on it..... which was also totally different from the normal Corvette and was nothing like a Chevy Tahoe, which was a truck!?!

Common misconceptions.
The SC and Supra are related and do use alot of the same suspension parts and such, and the GS is supposedly based on the JDM Toyota Crown.
The LS is exclusive and isn't shared with anything else.
I'm interested to see where people get their information on oddball platform sharing! My sister has a friend with Toyota Solara, and she goes around telling everyone that its on a Lexus platform.... uhm... well I guess it is distantly related to the ES, since its just a friggin' Camry coupe!
I even heard a guy boasting about his 1st gen Toyota Tundra that was on a "Lexus frame", which i assume got misconstrued to him because of the 2UZ-FE engine or something... who knows!
What I find truly amusing is that when they tell clueless people that their Toyota is "Based on a Lexus platform", people always act impressed, but when i talk to the same type of people about my LS400, they say "Isn't that just a Camry?"
However, My FAVORITE of all is when people say "A Lexus is just a Glorified Toyota"..... Uhm.... you say this like it's a BAD THING?!?? I'll take an ES250 any day of the week!

The guy you linked to basically states that because in his UZZ3x soarer it seemed similar 1UZ to a 1LS, it's based on the same chassis.
Sure, if you ignore the way the entire suspension is set up, trans tunnel, firewall, fuel tank, and body/crash structure. Totally shortened LS chassis. You know, they're both made out of japanese steel and such....
On the flip side, the xxZ30 chassis soarer/SC is pretty literally a stretched JZA80 supra shell with longer wheelbase, the firewall and fuel tank positions are identical, and the complete suspension components (and full subframes if i'm not mistaken) are interchangeable.
Just because toyota used common parts doesn't make it altered versions of the same chassis. Otherwise he would be able to say that toyota based the GS, SC, Crown, IS, hilux, landcruiser, and pretty much anything else with an xUZ motor on the LS because it debuted the 1UZ.....

this is incorrect! the avalon is based on the ES300 chassis as being a FWD car.
actually the LS is it's own chassis! there is no car with the same suspension components that relate, among other huge differences. GS and IS are on similar platforms. the MKIV supra shares the SC300/400 platform.
